Know about Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
It is a government initiative that provides up to Rs 6,000 per year in basic income support to all small and marginal farmers. This 75,000-crore initiative promises to cover 125 million farmers in India, regardless of the size of their land ownership.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana or PM- Kisan Yojana was enacted on 1st December 2018. Our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated it.
The PM Kisan Yojana provides annual income assistance of Rs 6000 to all qualified farmer households across the country in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 every four months. According to the system, a family consists of a husband, a wife, and minor children. The Rs 2,000 money is instantly sent to the farmers'/farmer's family's savings accounts.
People eligible for the Yojana-
· Landholding Farmers' relatives with suitable cultivation landholdings are eligible to apply for this plan.
· Farmers of both urban and rural locations are represented.
· Families of small and marginal farmers
Process of Registering for the Yojana-
Farmers must contact a local revenue official (patwari) or a nodal officer (nominated by the state government).
The Common Service Centres (CSCs) have also been permitted to register farmers for the Plan in exchange for fees.
Aadhaar is required.
Aside from Aadhaar, citizenship certificates, landholding paperwork, and bank account, information must be presented to the appropriate authorities.
